In this role, you’ll partner closely with hiring leaders to develop effective sourcing strategies, deliver a positive candidate experience, and ensure we attract and hire exceptional individuals who align with our mission and values.

The Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for managing the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding for various positions within the organization. This role involves identifying and attracting top talent, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs. The consultant plays a key role in creating a positive candidate experience while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with hiring policies.

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year professional level experience in a recruiting role to include some compensation experience; preferably in healthcare or other complex environment. 
  • Prior experience with HRIS. 


Preferred: 

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field. 
  • Relevant HR certification. 
  • 3-5 years or more of professional level experience in a recruiting role.
  • Experience in other functions of Human Resources.


Essential Job Duties: 

  • Strategic business partner responsible for consulting with hiring leaders on HR policies and recruitment strategies. Partner and consult with hiring manager on HR policies, recruitment strategies and retention strategies. Provide an overview of current openings to hiring managers.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within assigned healthcare areas.
  • Create recruitment strategies to recruit and hire the best talent for Augusta Health.
  • Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates within assigned healthcare areas; to include outreach and coordination of the hospital’s RN Residency Program.
  • Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Assist with coordination of candidate interviews, participating in the interview process and may collect interview documentation.
  • Manage internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.
  • Analyze compensation comparators and calculate offer pay rate. Evaluate and negotiate total compensation package for offers. 
  • Partner and collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on transfers, new hire paperwork and onboarding, bonuses, processing applications and routine recruitment needs.
  • Source candidates through a variety of recruitment platforms and methods.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals (e.g., of external - search firms, schools, community programs, etc.). 
  • Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, and other employment related agreements).
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Troubleshoot and provide ATS guidance to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Track the onboarding process and status for new hires joining Augusta Health.
  • Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Provide consultation on a variety of human resource issues and work closely with all areas of Human Resource Department to facilitate effective Human Resource relationships; advise hiring manager regarding Orientation, Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll; provide basic benefits information to hiring managers and candidates; train departmental hiring managers on recruitment processes, interviewing techniques.
  • Partner with Team Member Relations on workforce issues, consulting on HR policies regarding hiring, staffing investigations and employees on Performance Improvement Plans.
