Full-Time Nanny Needed for Toddler in Paramus, NJ

Private family in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking a warm, experienced Nanny to care primarily for their 18-month-old toddler. . This is a live-out, long-term position for someone who truly enjoys supporting young children during their early development.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone kind, patient, and reliable, with prior experience caring for both infants and toddlers (this nanny will be in charge of the toddler but should have experience with infants since the family just welcomed a new baby). A nanny who enjoys engaging activities that promote early learning, language development, and play-based growth will be a great fit. Someone who is proactive, organized, and able to be flexible for the families needs.

Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals, children’s laundry) is appreciated, especially during nap times.

What Works Best for Our Family

Mom is currently home with a newborn and will need extra support managing the toddler’s day-to-day routine. Dad has a demanding career and the household can be busy at times. We value someone who is adaptable, flexible, professional, trustworthy, communicative, loving toward children, and gentle. We also appreciate a nanny who respects privacy and can confidentiality and can work alongside mom. We believe in gentle parenting and want a nanny who is kind and follows parents direction.

Position Details

• Location: Paramus, NJ

• Children: 2 (18-month-old and newborn) this position is for the 18m old

• Schedule: Dad’s career is demanding and doesn’t have a set schedule. Someone with full flexibility is needed. There will be mostly 2 days off each week but the days off can vary from week to week

• Start Date: As soon as the right nanny is found.

• Duration: Long-term (no set end date)

• Driving:Required 

• Travel:Required

• Languages: Fluent English required

• Compensation: $30–$45 per hour, based on experience and flexibility

Responsibilities

• Full care of toddler during the day

• Assist with newborn as needed (mom will be primary caregiver)

• Prepare meals/snacks for toddler

• Engage toddler in age-appropriate developmental activities

• Light tidying of kitchen and play areas

• Children’s laundry

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with toddlers

• Excellent references (minimum of 2)

• Able to pass background check and drug screening

• Kind, self-motivated, observant, and respectful of family dynamics
