We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cryptography Remediation Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on resolving certificate and key lifecycle issues, maintaining documentation, and providing customer support related to cryptography.
Responsibilities:
Identify, track, and remediate certificate and key-related issues
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and resolutions
Provide timely and effective support to customers regarding cryptography-related inquiries and issues
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to prevent future certificate and key lifecycle issues
Participate in security audits and assessments related to cryptography
Manage the entire lifecycle of cryptographic keys, including generation, distribution, rotation, and destruction
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 1.5 years of IT experience
At least 1 year of experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of experience with certificate and key management tools and platforms
2+ years of experience with Python or PowerShell
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to cryptography, public key infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, certificate management, and key lifecycle management
CompTIA Security+ or Network+ Certification

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
